Who We Are
PLACE OF PURPOSE is a non-profit special needs college that aims to make a difference in the lives of the intellectually disabled and learning challenged young adults aged 16 and above by providing a safe, and supportive learning environment.
What We Do
Our special needs college aims to empower individuals, and improve quality of life by developing their personal and social wellbeing, daily living skills, and employability skills. We aim to empower them to lead a productive, purposeful life by assisting them to grow and learn.
Our Process
Our skills development programs for special needs adults are run on an individual basis with a teacher to student ratio of 1:5.
About Our College
Place of Purpose will make use of ‘My Independence’, a suite of certified programs for people with a range of special educational needs. My Independence is ASDAN’s key program to achieve positive outcomes for young people with an education, health and self-care deficiency.
Each program provides a real-life context to reward achievement which fosters the personal, social and work-related abilities of all learners by focusing on a person-centred planning approach.
